About Me
Hi! I’m Chelsey.
I am a planner by nature. I love making lists, creating charts and itineraries. Depending on how you like your vacations, I’m either a dream or a nightmare as your travelling companion.
I was drawn to Emergency Management because I have a desire to help and I want to lessen the impact of a crisis. This is how I came to study social work as well. I enjoy making emergency plans because I like evaluating all possible negative outcomes and coming up with strategies to address and respond to each. Agencies with Business Continuity of Operations plans fared much better than those without during Covid-19.
Strategic Planning is a more recent passion of mine. I see it almost as the opposite of Continuity of Operations planning. Where Emergency planning is keeping things going when times are tough, Strategic Planning is driving forward, planning your next moves, setting new goals and striving to reach them. It is optimistic and exciting. What a wonderful way to get all your employees on the same page and working together to build something even better.
Let me be your planner. I am uniquely suited to helping your non-profit because non-profits are what I know. They have been my career. I have worked in developmental services, mental health, victim services and for international NGOs. I understand the unique needs that charities and non-profits have, and I want to help them thrive.
I have a graduate certificate in Emergency Management from Fleming College, and I have studied Strategic Planning through the University of Ottawa. I am passionate about helping non-profit organizations to grow and thrive. Working with your staff and board of directors, I can ensure that your organization is ready for success.
